Digitization of Visual materials in the University of Haifa Library
Khagar Julia

Haifa University Library has been involved in the process of digitization library collections and resources for academic courses.

This was done through a process of scanning, enriched metadata and creating interface for searching, retrieving and viewing the images.

In this Poster we will present the image database (TOOT) and examples out of several collections.
The database includes al the images in the library’s collections: slides, pictures, Arial photographs, maps and other visual information.

The digital database was prepared as the library’s effort to develop digital library services alongside traditional library services and collections at the Haifa University Library.
The system was customized to meet the teaching needs of the university community.
