e-Culture: Preserving and presenting cultural heritage in line with the challenges of the future; demonstrating valuable cultural assets clearly and informatively using state-of-the-art technology.

 

Your are invited to propose and register Israel programs and projects to the e-Culture Israel National Contest. The selected project will be submitted by Israel to the World Summit Award Global Contest (details below).

The judges for the national contest in Israel are nominated by the statutory institutions that steer the MINERVA network in Israel for digitisation of science and cultural heritage. The institutions and the judges they nominated are:

Global WSA 2005 Contest : http://www.wsis-award.org/


The World Summit Award (WSA) builds on the EUROPRIX Network, and is a global initiative for selecting and promoting the best in eContent and creativity. It involves representatives from 168 countries who each nominate 8 national best practice examples in e-content and creativity 2004/2005, (one from each category).

According to the WSA 05 guidelines there are eight categories for the global contest

 

e-Learning

e-Culture

e-Science

e-Government

e-Health

e-Business

e-Entertainment

e-Inclusion

 

 

The national competition would be based on the same criteria as the global competition:

Evaluation Criteria

1 Quality and comprehensiveness of content
2 Ease of use: functionality, navigation and orientation
3 Value added through interactivity and multimedia
4 Attractiveness of design (aesthetic value of graphics/audio)
5 Quality of craftsmanship (technical realization)

A Accessibility according to the WC3
